Hope's Door Resale Store

Hope's Door's Resale Store, serves a vital role for our clients, who often give up everything to flee for safety. Clients are provided with vouchers to purchase what they need at our Resale Store so that they can start new lives free from violence.

If you find that your closets and cabinets are a little too full of new or gently used clothing (men, women and children) and household items, Hope's Door Resale Store can turn your overflow into someone else's new abundance.

Donations are accepted at the store during business hours. All proceeds benefit the programs and services of Hope's Door.   All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

Volunteers are needed in the Resale Shop to sort incoming donations, assist Hope's Door clients with selection of clothing and accessories, prepare items for sale and serve as retail clerks.   To volunteer, call (972) 422-2911.

What is Crissa's Closet and is it affiliated with Hope's Door Resale Store?

Yes, Hope's Door Resale Store is formerly "Crissa's Closet", we opened Crissa's Closet in memory of Michelle Crissa Bearden.  She was a Plano native and a 1989 graduate of East Plano High School.   In 1996, after ending a four-year abusive relationship, she was killed by her abuser at a local restaurant.   He also killed the restaurant manager and himself.   After her death, her employer, Innova Solutions made a generous gift to Hope's Door in her memory which helped establish our Resale Store.

We have kept her memory alive by naming our client vouchers "Crissa's Closet Vouchers".  That means that the women and children that come to our facility who are in need of clothing can utilize their Crissa's Closet Voucher and shop at Hope's Door Resale Store for free.  It was important to us that we kept Crissa's memory and legacy alive and she not be forgotten.
